Terms of Use
Version 3
Stuzhik is a free Minecraft launcher. By using it you agree to the terms below. We tried to keep them short.
1. What Stuzhik is
Stuzhik is an unofficial launcher. It is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft; Minecraft is their trademark.
The launcher is provided “as is”, without warranty. We work to keep it reliable, but we are not liable for data loss, game crashes or the consequences of installing mods.
2. Your files and accounts
Modpacks, worlds, settings and accounts are stored on your computer. Sign-in data (Microsoft, Ely.by) is kept in the system's secure storage and is never sent to Stuzhik servers.
The game, Java, mods and modpacks are downloaded from their sources — Mojang, Modrinth, CurseForge and others. Their terms and the terms of mod authors apply to what you download.
Mods are third-party code, and you install them at your own risk. Keep backups — the launcher has them built in.
3. Anonymous statistics
To know how many people use Stuzhik and what to improve, the launcher sends anonymous statistics to the Stuzhik server:
- once a day — the launcher version and its channel (stable or testing), the operating system — only Windows, Linux or macOS and its architecture, without a version number, — the interface language, “first launch this day, week, month” marks, the date of the first launch and the invitation code if you came with one (a friend's personal code only once, with the very first report), plus your answer to “How did you hear about Stuzhik?” if you gave one (your own words for “Other” — up to 40 characters, only once, with the very first report; words that look like a contact — an email, a link, a number — are not sent at all);
- every few minutes while the launcher is open — a random session number (new on every launch), which Minecraft versions with which loaders are running right now, and the same launcher details as in the daily report: version, channel, operating system, architecture and language. When you close the launcher or turn statistics off, one last such pulse is sent to say the session has ended.
We learn nothing about the computer itself beyond the operating system and its architecture: not the processor, graphics card, amount of memory, computer name, serial numbers or any other hardware identifiers.
Nor do we collect your nickname, accounts, email, the names or contents of your modpacks, or your files. An installation has no persistent identifier. The server does not store your IP address — it only looks up your country from it.
You can turn statistics off right in this window or at any time in Settings → Privacy. The launcher works the same without it.
4. Sharing modpacks with other people
Stuzhik Connect transfers modpacks directly between computers, bypassing Stuzhik servers. You decide what to share, with whom and when: nothing leaves without your consent.
5. What you must not do
Use Stuzhik to break the law or infringe others' rights, to spread malicious code, or to disrupt the service or other people.
6. Changes
If the terms change, the launcher will show the new text at startup. Until you respond, no statistics will be sent.
